Job Description - Menu Specialist

Menu Specialist
Full Time Days - Weekend and Evenings included

Primary Function:
Distribute appropriate menus to patients and assist patients in the selection of diets.
Tabulation of daily production sheets and ensures accuracy of tray line.
Identify concerns in patient nutritional needs and discuss with dietitian

Non-Essential:
Assist in passing of meal trays

PREREQUISITES:
      1). 3-4 years experience in food service.
      2). High school diploma required, or GED equivalent.
      3). Nutritional courses at post-high school graduate level preferred.
      4). Must possess basic math skills and an ability to work with basic calculations.
      5). Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
      6). Basic computer skills.
