MEP Commissioning Support

LotusWorks is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive MEP Commissioning Support professional to join our team in Abilene, Texas, supporting a high-performance data center facility. In this role, you will assist with the planning, execution, and documentation of commissioning processes across Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems with a focus on Levels 3 and 4. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrated testing and performance validation of mission-critical infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities: 

• 
  

  Assist in the development and execution of commissioning plans, specifically focusing on Level 3 (Component Testing) and Level 4 (System Functional Performance Testing) for all MEP systems

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with the project Commissioning Agent and internal teams to define and document test requirements, inspection protocols, and integrated testing strategies

  
  


• 
  

  Support the review and tracking of vendor documentation, submittals, factory acceptance tests (FATs), and start-up plans for major equipment

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate site activities related to commissioning efforts, including monitoring field activities and ensuring adherence to the commissioning schedule

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in the verification of installation and start-up procedures to confirm operational readiness

  
  


• 
  

  Assist in developing integrated system test plans to validate complete system operations and performance

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain commissioning records and documentation in accordance with project standards and owner requirements

  
  

Skills Required:

• 
  

  Prior experience or understanding of data center commissioning, especially within MEP systems

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of commissioning levels and best practices (L1 through L5) with a strong focus on L3 and L4

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals

  
  


• 
  

  Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with commissioning tools and platforms is a plus (e.g., CxAlloy, Bluebeam, or similar)

  
  

Education / Licenses / Certifications

  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
