MEP Project Manager

Seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join a leading Southeast GC—working on ground-up, mission-critical projects such as data centers. This role involves full lifecycle management of MEP/FP systems, from subcontractor selection and coordination to closeout, all while traveling regionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review mechanical bid tabs and Exhibit B and select MEP subcontractors.

• Oversee day-to-day performance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection trades.

• Manage MEP submittals, change orders, requisitions, and equipment delivery logs.

• Coordinate BIM/VDC integration with field teams.

• Lead MEP reviews, site inspections, and commissioning coordination.

• Manage closeout documentation: as-builts, O&Ms, attic stock, punch-lists.

• Facilitate multi-trade coordination (e.g., curtain wall with electrical components).

• Attend owner meetings, commissioning reviews, and ensure AHJ compliance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, Construction, or related (preferred).

• 10+ year's experience with MEP systems (GC or specialty contractor), including 5+ years in project management.

• Ground-up mission-critical/data center experience required.

• Proficient in BIM/VDC, MS Excel/Word/Outlook.

• Thorough knowledge of ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, LEED, and local codes.

• Strong decision-making, prioritization, and communication skills.
