In this role, you will design, build, deploy, and maintain vital IT infrastructure, ensuring all systems operate efficiently. Your expertise will help identify and mitigate threats, improve network performance, and provide technical solutions across the organization. The role demands proactive management of infrastructure and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, making a significant impact on the overall performance of IT services.
Accountabilities
- Determine enterprise security controls and identify potential threats to infrastructure.
- Diagnose complex network, storage, and server issues, implementing corrective solutions.
- Track vulnerabilities and apply necessary remediations and patches.
- Conduct feasibility studies for proposed projects.
- Administer automated workflow tools and middleware application servers.
- Monitor network/server performance and respond to critical alerts.
- Perform upgrades to hardware, software, and firmware.
- Manage change releases into production minimizing risk.
- Create release plans and validate strategies for network and business applications.
- Evaluate current systems and support the development of improvement strategies.
Requirements
- 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure.
- Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Deep knowledge of network routing, switching, and security.
- Experience with systems administration and configuration management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages and IT automation.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing and cybersecurity.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with virtualization and operating systems.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and database administration.
