This position involves preparing, digesting, and filtering soil and wastewater samples for metals analysis via ICP-OES. Prior laboratory experience is a plus, but is not required. Applicants must be able to read and understand EPA approved standard operating procedures and follow all QA/QC guidelines. Applicants must be willing to work with concentrated acids and other hazardous materials and adhere to strict laboratory safety standards. Hours are full time from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Prep analysts may start earlier if they prefer but may not start later than 9:00. Starting salary will depend on education and experience. Applicants should have a minimum of a bachelors degree in a scientific field.
