Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Electronics Manufacturing Technician (Level II or III, based on experience) to join our production team. This role will work directly alongside our current technician to learn our processes, equipment, and product lines, with the goal of becoming a fully cross-trained, independent contributor. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable in a cleanroom or ESD-controlled environment, and eager to build deep technical knowledge of specialized manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, set up, and monitor production equipment used in device/component fabrication, assembly, or test (e.g., wire bonders, die attach systems, optical alignment stations, vacuum chambers, soldering/rework stations, or similar precision tools).


• Perform in-process and final inspection using microscopes, multimeters, and other metrology/test equipment.


• Follow detailed work instructions, travelers, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) with strict attention to process control.


• Document production data, yields, and non-conformances accurately in accordance with quality system requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).


• Troubleshoot basic equipment and process issues; escalating more complex problems to senior technicians or engineering.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area consistent with ESD, cleanroom, and lab safety protocols.


• Assist in preventive maintenance and calibration schedules for production equipment.


• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process improvements, yield investigations, and new product introduction (NPI) support.


• Train alongside and shadow the current lead technician to learn proprietary equipment, tooling, and processes specific to our facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.


• Ability to read and interpret technical electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.


• Basic computer literacy (data entry, MES, Microsoft Office).


• Willingness to learn proprietary tools and techniques from experienced staff.


• Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology, or equivalent military/technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience.


• 1–3 years of experience in electronics, semiconductor, photonics, or precision manufacturing.


• Basic understanding of electrical/electronic principles, schematics, and test equipment.


• Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies. Familiar with troubleshooting electrical/mechanical equipment.


• Comfortable working under a microscope with fine motor skill task.

Compensation:

This position offers an hourly range of $25 - $35, depending on the candidate's experience, skill set, and overall qualifications.
