Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

Cuts, trims, bones and grinds meats per work order specifications. Uses power equipment such as a saw, grinder and cubing machine. Cuts and weighs individual servings. Shapes and ties roasts.
Prepare fowl using a knife or saw. May debone turkey chicken and other fowl.
Operate vacuum tumbler to spice and season meat proteins per order.
Responsible for utilization of all Weis Markets provided Personal Protective equipment (PPE). Including but not limited to cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, company sponsored footwear, etc.
Maintains safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation requirements set forth by the company and mandated state, federal, USDA, and OSHA regulations.
Ensures compliance to local, state, and government weights, measures, and labeling laws.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This associate has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Completed or working towards High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). 1-2 years’ experience in cutting meat.
