The MFG Onboarding Coordinator will work as the liaison between new employees, contingent workers and the company. The main objective of this position is to ensure new employees have the tools and understanding to be successful within the organization. Provides support for manufacturing leadership, human resources recruiting and onboarding teams. The ideal candidate has a passion for the Company and the employees.

Position Responsibilities may include;
Providing the new workers with a warm welcome and a plan to experience success
Allocating new workers to the correct locations within the organization
Ensure the new workers understand where to park, which entrance to take, where to take breaks, etc.
Meet with the training team and on-site staffing agency to create procedures for new workers
Continually check on the new worker for the first two to three weeks to assist in conquering challenges the new worker is facing and monitor the hands on training in the department, and ask how the employee feels about the job and the company
Document and provide timely feedback to the Superintendent / Department Manager and Human resources in regards to employee concerns, thoughts and how they are progressing with training
In instances of urgency, immediately notify the manager and human resources
Oversee On-Boarding process to assure positive experience for new hires from greeting on the first day, DOJO training to their first couple of weeks on the floor
Ensure new hires complete required training successfully before they leave Freshman roles
Provide feedback to DOJO of successes and failures with new hires
Help coordinate internal and external meetings
Resolves complex inquiries and questions
Support and assist employees with daily needs, projects, or events with upmost customer service
Perform additional projects to support ongoing business needs

Takes direction from superintendent / area manager
Works within well-defined instructions and procedures while ensuring work aligns with established objectives
Knowledge and Skills:
Familiar with the Company’s manufacturing/production objectives and best practices
Strong training/teaching mindset; ability to effectively inform, educate and engage others
Ability to and follow safe work practices and rules
Strong process and compliance oriented mindset
Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Exceptional communication skills both verbal & written; great listening and questioning skills
High level of attention to detail; effective organizational and time management skills
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills; Strong observation skills
Effective relationship building, interpersonal and collaboration skills with both internal & external customers and with multiple levels of the organization; work with cross-functional team members
Ability to multi-task well & handle multiple interruptions throughout the day, while maintaining a positive, productive attitude
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and gets satisfaction and pride of ownership within the role
Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
Speaking multiple languages is a large plus
Experience:
5+ years working within the manufacturing organization; may consider a minimum of 3 if one has 2+ years of prior manufacturing experience/formal training elsewhere
Education:
High school education or equivalent; Associates/Technical degree is highly preferred
People Management: No
Physical Requirements / Working Environment:
Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
Frequent walking, standing within the manufacturing, training and office areas
Must wear required PPE in designated areas; includes steal toe shoes, hearing and eye protection
