Mgr Women's Services

Responsible for managing the Jean McLaughlin Women's Center at Palomar Medical Center Poway. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all aspects of care, quality of programs and their delivery, while insuring financial viability. Collaborates with the other Palomar Health staff in increasing service volumes by meeting with physicians and other potential customers. Prepares budgets and strategically plans equipment and technology acquisitions. Works collaboratively with the Medical Director to ensure all department and hospital goals are met. Provides oversight of departmental operations and identifies process improvement opportunities. Responsible for ensuring all regulatory and quality guidelines are followed to include The Joint Commission Standards (TJC), American College of Radiology standards (ACR) and Mammography Quality Standards (MQSA). Responsible for the supervision of clinical and technical personnel to include but not limited to the mammography technologists, ultrasound technologists, nurse navigator, genetics counselor and clerical personnel. Foster an environment of Service Excellence utilizing Best Practices and will proactively identify challenges and opportunities and seek solutions. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standard. Carries out the mission, vision and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
