Michigan Street Preschool Teacher Substitute

The position requires excellent interpersonal skills and a love for children. Responsibilities include assisting with daily childcare, managing classroom activities, maintaining a clean classroom environment, and supporting the lead teacher with any task. 

• Follow lesson plans and educational activities prepared by the regular teacher.  
• Supervise and engage with children during indoor and outdoor activities.  
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.  
• Manage classroom behavior in a positive and constructive manner.  
• Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents.  
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.  
• Provide feedback on lessons and student progress to the Preschool Director. 

• High school diploma or equivalent; 45 DCF hours  
• Experience working with young children in a classroom setting.  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
• Ability to work with children of various ages and backgrounds.  
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
• Must be organized, self-sufficient, and able to interact effectively with students, parents, faculty and staff, and the lead teacher. Willing and able to take over a class as required.
