Job Description - Microsoft Office 365 Power Application Support Specialist (On-Site)

We are seeking mission-driven professionals to join Team Red Pulley in supporting Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic (SURFLANT).

Do you enjoy modernizing how organizations work? We’re seeking a Microsoft Office 365 Power Application Support specialist to design and support automation, dashboards, and low-code solutions that streamline Navy business processes. Your solutions will reduce manual effort, improve visibility, and increase operational efficiency across the command.

Location: Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic (COMNAVSURFLANT) (CNSL), Naval Base, Norfolk, VA
Work Environment: On-site with periodic travel
Status: Actively Interviewing


Requirements

Minimum/General Experience:; 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office 365 Power Applications;5 years of Microsoft SharePoint programming, process flow implementation, and site implementation and programming

Minimum Education: High School diploma

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining low-code/no-code business applications to support workflow automation, data collection, approvals, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, SQL Server, and other enterprise data sources.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 governance, security, and permission models, including role-based access control and data protection considerations.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Power Automate workflows to streamline operational processes, reduce manual effort, and improve data accuracy.
  • Familiarity with Power BI dashboards and reports, including data modeling, visualizations, and performance optimization.
  • Experience operating within formal configuration management and change control processes, including documentation, testing, and validation prior to production deployment.
  • Ability to collaborate with SharePoint administrators, database administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and system owners to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Security Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (preferred)
  • Ability to maintain DoD clearance eligibility

Travel Requirements

  • Position is primarily based at Naval Station, Norfolk
  • Might require periodic travel within a 50-mile radius

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Power Apps to support CNSL headquarters and subordinate command business processes.
  • Build and manage Power Automate workflows to automate data entry, approvals, notifications, and status tracking.
  • Integrate Power Apps and workflows with SharePoint lists, SQL databases, and Microsoft 365 services to support operational and readiness reporting.
  • Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for Power Apps and Power Automate solutions to ensure reliable daily operations.
  • Modify and enhance existing Power Platform solutions to meet evolving mission, reporting, and leadership requirements.
  • Participate in project planning, technical reviews, and status meetings to support program execution and milestones.
  • Ensure Power Platform solutions comply with CNSL configuration management, cybersecurity, and governance requirements
  • Test and validate Power Apps and workflows prior to deployment to production environments.
  • Maintain documentation for Power Platform solutions, including design details, user guidance, and change history.
  • Coordinate with SharePoint administrators, database administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and network teams to ensure secure, scalable, and inspection-ready solutions.
