Sales Executive

The role
This is a quota-carrying salesperson responsible for selling large Microsoft-centric Professional and Managed Services engagements to new and existing clients in a combination of industries. You will collaborate with a virtual team from across the business around the sales cycle. This role combines the skills of "hunting", "farming" and industry selling experience and is a high growth opportunity with excellent earning potential by meeting and exceeding sales targets within a specific set of accounts.
Location: Virtual with travel as needed.
Key responsibilities
Develop business by crafting new and handling existing demand for Cyber Security Solutions via various lead generation channels, including: Cognizant and Microsoft account teams in existing and targeted accounts
Bringing to bear your skills to break into "greenfield" accounts (new logos)
Functioning as an MBG industry "ambassador", you will set the overall tone in delivering outstanding experiences with everyone you interact with
Taking the lead on pursuits and acting as the "conductor of the orchestra", you will be coordinating the selling of the entire MBG services portfolio in partnership and collaboration with a wide collaborator community, including: MBG colleagues, within various account teams, service lines and market units including teams consisting of technical sales support, solutioning, alliances, project management, marketing, and executives, as well as Microsoft Corporation account team members, clients and prospects
Various partners, vendors and the greater community
Experience and skills needed to be successful in this role:
10+ years selling Consulting services to Enterprise Clients
Deep knowledge of Cyber Security products, standards and ROI.
Knowledge of Microsoft's Ecosystem, including Microsoft Security Products, Enterprise on-premises, hybrid and cloud software and services portfolio, with a focus on MS Security Solutions.

Strong understanding of Microsoft Security and experience of working on full life cycle implementations across multiple product families (Entra, Intune, Defender XDR, Sentinel, Purview, Priva)
Execution in a team-selling environment
Skill in "navigating" within a Global System Integrator
Create and lead relationships with technology AND business decision makers, including the C-suite.
Knowledge of all facets of opportunity and account development & management
Deep understanding and management of complex solution sales cycles
Knowledge of/experience with structured sales methodologies, e.g., Challenger Selling
Deep experience in creatively overcoming sales obstacles
Existing relationships with Microsoft local field teams is a plus
Digital Transformation industry specific experience.
Proven ability to contribute to new business development efforts and to lead and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Must be detail oriented and able to manage and maintain all facets of complex assignments.
Demonstrable problem-solving abilities with the aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications.
Demonstrate the flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments, industries, and technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $180,000 - 190,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
