Our client is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) MicroStrategy Developer to join the
Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) Department. Incumbent will be responsible for
providing innovative BI solutions to support the global business. Main responsibilities are to design,
develop, and deploy MicroStrategy dashboards and reports using BI best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. • Gather and transform business requirements into innovative BI solutions that effectively support the business world-wide


2. • Document designs, specifications and flow diagrams to assist in efficient development, support and problem analysis


3. • Develop dashboards and reports per specified requirements and timelines


4. • Participate in data model design and data build for the enterprise Data Warehouse


5. • Develop, execute and document test plans for development activities


6. • Communicate clearly and effectively with business users and technical teams through all phases of the development life cycle


7. • Deploy MicroStrategy managed releases of large BI application solutions


8. • Research and troubleshoot reported problems and conduct ongoing maintenance and development


9. • Maintain knowledge on the latest BI technology and best practices


10. • Provide on-call support of production applications as part of a rotation within the development team


11. • Perform other related duties as assigned

Desired Skills & Experience

1. • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or closely related field from an accredited university or college is desired


2. • A minimum of 2-3 years experience with MicroStrategy architecture, dashboard, and report

Development:

1. o Utilizing Architect, Desktop, and Web Professional


2. o Performance tuning of schemas and individual reports


3. o Configuration of Schema objects


4. o Leveraging intelligent server, intelligent cubes, and OLAP


5. • Proficient in the following MicroStrategy 9.x modules: (All candidates must have)


6. o Desktop, Report Services, Object Manager, Integrity Manager, Command Manager and Web Developer


7. • Proficient in developing MicroStrategy objects, filters, prompts and metrics


8. • Proficient in SQL


9. • Developing and deploying MicroStrategy reports and dashboards to mobile platforms -iPad, iPhone, and/or Android based devices is a plus


10. • Experience with Netezza Data Warehouse Appliance is a plus
