Job Description - Mid Level Manufacturing Engineer
Responsibilities:
Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize efficiency, quality, and safety.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to address manufacturing issues and implement solutions.
Design and implement process improvements, including equipment upgrades, layout changes, and workflow optimizations.
Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production processes.
Implement Lean manufacturing principles and tools, such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping, to drive continuous improvement.
Work with suppliers and vendors to evaluate and select equipment and materials for manufacturing processes.
Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process control plans.
Provide technical support and training to production staff on manufacturing processes and equipment.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for further improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related field required.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related role.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing software (e.g., ERP systems).
Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and tools preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
$90,000 - $115,000 a year
