Mid-Level AV Engineer

We are excited to be recruiting for new talent to join our growing and innovative team- a Mid-Level AV Engineer! This position works with the Engineering department by ensuring AV design specifications are met according to customer requirements on-site.

The responsibilities of this role may include:  

• Converses with customer or Senior Engineer to plan layout of equipment 
• Reads and studies blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine what installation techniques to use 
• Installs or oversees installation of equipment according to manufacturer's specifications 
• Uses computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to assist in the development of audio-visual designs 
• Operates system to demonstrate equipment and to analyze malfunctions. 
• Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing AV knowledge 
• Performs network switch configurations to support DANTE, AVB, AES 67, and AV over IP
• Possess the capability to interpret network switch logs and troubleshoot irregular network traffic, and troubleshoot any and all network issues 
• Instructs and directs other Technicians onsite 
• Instructs customers on the operation of systems 
• Consults with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance 
• Advises management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements 
• Perform all other duties as assigned

The qualifications for this position include:

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Engineering program, IT program, or related technical discipline and 2 years’ relevant AV design experience, OR:
• A HS Diploma or equivalent, a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification, and five (5) years of relevant work experience including supervision of others while on the job site in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
• Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance
• Must possess the ability to travel within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). This position requires the ability to travel up to 40% of the time

Pay Range

$70,000 - $110,000 per year

The above pay range represents a general guideline; however, AV3, Inc. considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
