Position Summary

Virtuous is in search of a dynamic, goal-oriented sales leader with a track record of successfully assembling, retaining, and enhancing sales teams.  In this role, you will lead a team focused on fostering growth within Mid-Market Sales, with a special emphasis on the nonprofit sector. 

Your responsibilities include supervising a team of Account Executives who excel in value-based selling, using a consultative approach to promoting and positioning Virtuous.  Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, your role is crucial in developing strategic plans for each account, working closely with clients to understand their obstacles, identify potential avenues for growth, and leverage past achievements as blueprints for future initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and Execution:

    • Develop, refine, and implement a comprehensive success plan for the team in alignment with company goals 

  • Team Leadership and Development:

    • Cultivate a high-performance culture by recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top-tier sales talent.

    • Implement effective training programs to ensure the continuous professional development of team members.

    • Provide ongoing mentorship, coaching, and constructive feedback to empower the team to achieve their full potential.

    • Regularly assess individual and team performance through a combination of direct observation, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other relevant metrics.

  • Sales Projections and Reporting:

    • Develop and deliver precise and comprehensive sales projections based on analysis, historical data, and current trends.

    • Provide regular, detailed reports to the executive team on sales performance, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.

  • Cultural Development:

    • Foster a dynamic and positive team culture that encourages healthy competition while emphasizing collaboration.

    • Instill a sense of ownership, accountability, and camaraderie within the team

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment in delivering client-centric solutions.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related discipline.

    • Additional certifications in sales management or related fields are a plus.

  • Experience:

    • 3-5 years experience in sales management, with a focus on SaaS or related industries.

    • Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets in a leadership role.

  • Communication and Presentation Skills:

    • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to articulate the nuances of client value propositions clearly and persuasively.

    • Strong presentation skills, both internally and externally, to key stakeholders.

  • Leadership Abilities:

    • Demonstrated capability to inspire and lead a remote team

    • Strategic vision and mindset 

    • Motivational and Inspirational

    • Ability to develop and nurture lifelong client partnerships, becoming a trusted advisor and advocate

  • Analytical Skills:

    • Outcome-focused with strong analytical capabilities, utilizing data-driven insights to make informed decisions and guide the team accordingly

    • Proficient in using analytics tools and interpreting CRM data to drive strategic decision-making

    • Problem solver

  • Industry Knowledge:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of CRM systems, peripheral technology, and familiarity with the latest industry best practices in their adoption and use.

    • Well-informed of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies 

  • Coaching and Mentorship Skills:

    • Proven ability to tailor coaching strategies based on needs.

    • Exceptional interpersonal skills to provide constructive feedback, inspire confidence, and empower team members to excel.

  • Results-Oriented Mentality

    • A track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets

    • A metrics-oriented approach, utilizing data and key performance indicators to measure the success and continuous improvement of the sales team
