About the Role: Deliver Comprehensive Midwifery & Women’s Health Services

As a Midwife, you will provide expert healthcare for individuals throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, as well as well-person gynecological care. Your responsibilities will include attentive labor support, clinical assessment, education, and advocacy—ensuring safe, respectful, and personalized experiences for every patient. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to promote optimal maternal and newborn outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: Pregnancy, Birth, and Postpartum Midwifery Care

• Perform thorough history-taking, physical assessments, and prenatal evaluations for a diverse patient population.
• Deliver evidence-based intra-partum care, including labor management, support, and attending births in a compassionate, individualized manner.
• Provide postpartum support, newborn care assessments, and education to families regarding lactation, newborn wellness, and recovery.
• Offer gynecological care, family planning, and reproductive health guidance within the midwife scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families on pregnancy, labor, delivery, infant care, and reproductive health in an inclusive and culturally sensitive manner.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams for consultation, referral, and escalation of care when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters and coordinate care transitions in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Foster a culture of respect, professionalism, inclusivity, and patient advocacy at all times.

Qualifications: Certified Midwife & Clinical Midwifery Expertise

• Valid Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) in the state of New Mexico (NM)
