Specialty Backup Available: 24-hour in-house OB/GYN support, Level III NICU
Reason for Coverage: Go Live

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

First Assist
Labor and delivery management
Intrapartum care
Postpartum care
OB triage
Well-woman gynecologic exams

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Texas Medical License
Board: Board Certified
DEA: Active Texas DEA
Experience: Minimum 2 years full-scope midwifery experience; Minimum 2 years recent first assist experience
Other Qualifications: First assist experience must be within past 2 years

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide full-scope midwifery care including intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage in a hospital setting
Perform first assist duties during deliveries
Provide postpartum care and well-woman gynecologic exams across the lifespan
Support patients throughout labor and delivery
Collaborate with 24-hour in-house OB/GYN support and Level III NICU team
