Position Overview

A Pryor-based company is seeking a dependable and hardworking Mig Welder to join their fabrication team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in metal fabrication while contributing to the production of custom-engineered steel building systems. The Mig Welder will perform structural steel welding, assist with fabrication tasks, and gain hands-on training to develop welding and blueprint-reading skills.

Important Testing Information

Client will conduct an on-site weld test during the interview. Candidates must bring their own hood and gloves for the test.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Welding & Fabrication

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel components according to specifications.
• Assist in assembling and fabricating metal parts for building systems.

Quality & Safety

• Inspect welds for accuracy and structural integrity.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Team Support

• Collaborate with experienced welders and fabricators to meet production goals.
• Assist with material handling and setup of welding equipment.

Learning & Growth

• Receive on-the-job training in welding techniques and fabrication processes.
• Develop skills in blueprint reading and the use of metalworking tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of MIG welding.
• Overhead crane experience is a plus.
• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Team-oriented attitude and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
