Nexus-Onarga Family Healing is located approximately 30 miles south of Kankakee and 45 miles north of Champaign-Urbana and just a few minutes from I-57 on a historic site in Onarga, IL. Nexus Onarga provides boys ages 10 to 20 years old a structured, homelike environment where they can safely address their unhealthy sexual behaviors and their emotional and behavioral issues.

Work Schedule & Salary:
- Schedule:
- Full Time, 40 Hours a week; salaried position
- Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday
- Hours vary based on the scheduling needs of the program
- On call hours required
- Salary: $57,000-$60,000 annually based on prior supervisory experience in the social service field
Work Environment:
- Maybe required to assist staff in proper restraining of clients.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100+ pounds with assistance.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (2-4 hours).
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand, twist, bend, and stretch in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities within the residential program.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and/or laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

The Milieu Supervisor is responsible to provide trauma-informed milieu leadership and mentorship in the treatment guidance plans through effective communication, organization, and planning of the daily operations of the program and assigned unit.
Primary responsibilities:
Strengths Based Trauma Informed Treatment Program:
- Creates timely staff schedules to maintain safe client ratios and support effective treatment.
- Helps plan and schedule trauma-informed services, including transport, family contact, events, and trips.
- Ensures staff perform duties calmly and therapeutically, reinforcing trauma-informed care and program decisions.
- Supports guidance plan development, ensures compliance, and mentors team members.
Program Documentation & Treatment Planning
- Oversees timely, accurate shift documentation and ensures proper notifications to leadership, referral agents, and families.
- Helps develop systems for safe, efficient treatment delivery to clients and families.
- Identifies and addresses program risks, proposes solutions, and supports long-term therapeutic improvements.
- Participates as a multi-disciplinary team member in developing and implementing client treatment plans and interventions.
Admissions & Service Delivery
- Ensures safe, welcoming admissions and meets youth and family needs.
- Monitors treatment delivery while tracking daily youth needs and requirements, ensuring proper documentation.
- Assigns primary staff for youth support and advocacy.
- Assists in hiring staff skilled in trauma-informed, family-centered care.
Staff Supervision & Leadership
- Mentors new Youth Care Professionals and ensures completion of shadowing requirements.
- Provides floor coverage during absences, emergencies, and on-call situations per program guidelines.
- Coaches and trains staff in trauma-informed care and individualized interventions to maintain a calm, therapeutic environment.
- Ensures accurate and timely staff timecard submissions and approvals.
- Supervises assigned staff and manages performance through regular feedback and evaluations.
- Collaborates with clinical leadership and HR on disciplinary actions.
Nexus Policy & Procedure:
- Models, supports, and mentors the Nexus philosophy and treatment modalities.
- Ensures confidentiality regarding clients and family’s issues, background, and treatment. Complies with Nexus policies involving client privacy and confidentiality rules for clients and their families.
- Conducts regular inspections of program areas; resolves health and safety concerns within a reasonable time frame.
- Remains current on all company policies, assigned trainings and/or certification requirements.
Required Education and Licensure:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of college credits earned.
- Minimum of two (2) years working in a residential setting
- Minimum of (1) year supervisory experience required
- Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and company driving requirements.
Preferred:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a clinically related field.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with clients and families.
