Are you passionate about helping military-connected students navigate their path to a degree? Champlain College is seeking a Military & Veteran Services Coordinator to lead the institution's support for its veteran and military-connected students, from their first inquiry as a prospective student through graduation. As the College's School Certifying Official (SCO), this position ensures that every eligible service member, veteran, and dependent receives the education benefits they've earned, while keeping the College in full compliance with federal and state requirements.
This role is both a compliance function and a student-facing one. You'll manage the certification and awarding of VA education benefits and military tuition assistance, serve as the College's point of contact for VA audits and Department of Defense reporting, and counsel military-connected students on the benefits available to them. You'll also be a visible advocate for this community, representing the College at recruitment and fundraising events and helping shape policies that make Champlain more military-friendly across departments.
This position reports to the Director of Student Accounts and offers a hybrid work arrangement, with some weekend commitments to support recruitment and community events. Remote work arrangement considered for the right candidate.
