Mill Maintenance Technician - Swing Shift

About the Role

Dandy is looking for a Mill Maintenance Technician to operate, repair and maintain 30+ mills as part of a team of 3. Each technician will be working alongside a shift of 8 technicians who will be operating those machines. You will be responsible for the condition of the mills by performing daily maintenance and cleanings. You will also be making repairs or corrections to each machine to ensure that orders are fabricated at the highest quality standards per customer deadlines.

3am-11pm

Compensation

$16-18 per hour + 10% swing shift differential

What You'll Do

• Collaborate: Clean and maintain mills during the shift, coordinating with the surrounding shift maintenance techs to ensure mills are operating at top performance and efficiency.

• Problem Solve: Conduct diagnosis and troubleshooting performing scheduled and emergency repairs. 

• Drive Improvements: Monitor the condition of mills to ensure a clean operating environment as well as clean water flowing. Monitor a strict cleaning and maintenance schedule

• Quality Adherence: Monitor quality and mill performance and run calibration checks when necessary.

• Operate Quickly: Monitor the condition of mills each shift to ensure a clean operating environment as well as clean water flowing 

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• 0-2+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment 

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

• Must be able to spend multiple hours on your feet moving around

• Must be able to lift 20-50lbs 

• Passion for tackling problems and breaking them down into smaller manageable steps

• High level of comfort with digital tools and technology

• Mechanically inclined 

• Very high attention to detail and organizational skills

• Team player attitude and willingness to help others to help the team exceed expectations

• Natural curiosity and ability to learn new concepts, tools, and workflows quickly

• Strong self-motivation, self-direction, and ability to prioritize 

• Excellent communication and listening skills

Bonus Points For

• Worked in a dental lab, specifically in a milling and/or nesting department

• Deep knowledge with different nesting softwares, specifically hyperDent

• Part of a nesting / milling department with 20+ mills before

• Mechanical background making repairs or performance modifications

• Worked with Arum mills before (e.g., 5X-500, 5X-500L, 5X-200)

• Nested / milled both generic and authentic custom titanium abutments in-house

• Outstanding professional references to share
