Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated millwright to join our growing team. As a key member of our manufacturing and engineering team, you will play a crucial role in advancing our proprietary plasma processing technology. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, manufacturing, and optimization of our cutting-edge machines, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in renewable energy and water treatment.

Responsibilities

·       Responsible for smooth operation and execution of our R&D warehouse and mechanical work area, ensuring that all works performed are according to manufacturer’s specifications and according to Quality and Safety procedures.

·       Assemble and install equipment. 

·       Supervise mechanical staff in performing fabrication duties on all major equipment and systems.

·       Prepare work reports after every completed job and ensure that the data files are completed and current.

·       Inspect completed work to check that tasks have been completed correctly and that machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards.

·       Monitor the condition of equipment, materials, parts, and tools that are used by maintenance employees in their day-to-day activities.

·       Coach and mentor shop staff. Lead staff in diagnosing more complex problems with machinery or equipment problems.

·       Prioritize and assign tasks so that the team’s resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.

·       Develop a weekly schedule to determine job priorities and complete other tasks as requested by the Mechanical Manager.

·       Develop and implement training programs for subordinates.

·       Review work planning and scheduling and provide feedback to the Sr Mechanical Engineer to ensure that job plans are efficient and effective.

·       Provide technical support to the Mechanical team to ensure correct parts procurement and proper replacement of parts or equipment and advise the store on the management of spare parts stock level.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize processing systems for large-scale industrial applications.

·       Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and validation of processing equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

·       Analyze data and provide insights to improve the overall functionality and capabilities of our processing machines.

·       Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute to continuous innovation and improvement.

Qualifications

·       5 years experience as a mechanical technician or equivalent

·       Education – Associate Degree in Mechanical Design preferred

·       Strong background in design and optimization of large-scale industrial systems.  Minimum of 5 years of experience required.

·       Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools including 3D Mechanical Design (Solidworks, Autocad, Edrawings, etc).

·       Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.

·       Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
