POSITION SUMMARY (PURPOSE OF POSITION):
The Minor League ACL Development Coach is responsible for assisting the daily development of players through on-field instruction, individualized player plans, and mentorship. This role collaborates with affiliate staff, coordinators, and front office personnel to implement organizational principles, standards, and culture with a focus on long-term player growth.
POSITION DETAILS:
Assist affiliate staff to provide necessary resources for players, both on and off the field.
Communicate clearly and effectively with players, coaches, coordinators, and front office personnel to align a shared vision.
Heavy focus on the development of players.
Implement organizational principles and standards for the players, while working collaboratively with the Arizona Complex League staff.
Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and winning at the assigned Arizona Complex League level.
Uphold organizational standards, expectations, and terminology to ensure continuity throughout the system.
Assist with player plan meetings and work.
Proactively identify challenges throughout the season and develop creative, practical solutions.
Exhibit leadership in thought process, decision making, and actions.
Assist in running daily game planning.
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Previous experience working and playing professional baseball preferred.
Extremely motivated, with a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills, with the desire to learn and grow.
Strong interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication.
Detail-oriented, strong organization skills, and multi-tasking abilities.
Passion for the game of baseball.
Ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment to accomplish common goals.
Experience with and a working understanding of current baseball technologies, programs, and evaluative tools.
Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with members of the Club’s front office, on-field staff, and players.
Consistent, punctual, and regular attendance, while presenting a professional image and demeanor.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Ability to travel with the team as required by the game schedule, including overnight stays.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by game schedules and training sessions.
Non-game day schedule is during the work week, and then hours and days can be flexible.
Ability to be present and active during game days, including standing and moving around the stadium for long periods.
Willingness to be hands-on and approachable in a dynamic, fast-paced event environment.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods during practice, drills, and games.
Must be able to lift and carry equipment such as bats, balls, and training tools (up to 25-30 pounds).
Must demonstrate physical agility and flexibility when demonstrating hitting techniques or engaging in on-field drills.
Frequent bending and stooping required for tasks such as retrieving balls, setting up drills, or assisting players with their form.
Must have excellent hand-eye coordination to demonstrate swing mechanics and provide timely feedback during drills.
Ability to maintain focus and coaching activity over the course of long practice sessions and games, which may last several hours.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Annual Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000
Standard organization benefits including health insurance programs, retirement options, and specifics will be provided to candidates through the hiring process
