RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement, execute, and quality control Red Sox S&C programming
- Supervise an Assistant S&C Coach throughout Spring Training and the minor league season
- Individualize training programs designed to optimize on-field performance while maintaining the health and safety of Red Sox athletes
- Implement daily preparation, speed and conditioning sessions in accordance with Red Sox principles
- Collaborate with and support the Nutrition department to ensure the quality and execution of nutrition standards and expectations
- Collaborate with Baseball Sciences to ensure the integration of diagnostic and monitoring technology in training and game play
- Effectively communicate player goals and progress to individual athletes and stakeholders
- Establish and execute testing and exercise protocols pertaining to performance and rehabilitation
- Teach proper execution, techniques and safety for all lifts and movement drills
- Coach sprint, deceleration, and multidirectional movement mechanics
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with the medical staff and support the return to play process
- Maintain gym and sports science equipment to a professional standard
- Work with managers and player development staff to manage player load, maximize schedule efficiency, and optimize performance outcomes
- Attend and participate in scheduled staff meetings
- Must be flexible to work irregular hours, nights, and weekends with frequent travel
- Actively participate in personal and professional development initiatives
- Work pre-season camps, Spring Training, and off-season camps in Fort Myers, FL
- Manage remote training/check-ins with assigned players in the off-season as required

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field required.
- Minimum two years of experience in a strength and conditioning-related role required.
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the NSCA required.
- CPR/AED certification required
- Master’s degree in Exercise Science or related field is preferred
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
- Experience coaching in an NCAA or professional team environment is preferred.
- Experience with objective diagnostic testing (i.e. force plates) is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are preferred.
- The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, jump, run, walk, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift at least 100lbs.
- The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
- The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
- The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed considering the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
