Whiskers Animal Dentistry And Oral Surgery is looking for a well-rounded candidate to join our team as a utility player. As our practice grows, we need help in multiple positions, but not enough for a member in each spot. Our current team provides thorough, safe, and effective dental care for dogs, cats, and an occasional cheetah, sloth, bear, or badger, emphasizing the client experience through excellent communication. You could be a veterinary assistant or an RVT with customer service experience or a customer service representative with some assistant or RVT experience. We are a dynamic team composed of 1 client service representative, 2 veterinary assistants, 3 registered veterinary technicians, a 3rd-year dentistry resident, a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist, and a board-certified veterinary dentist in a beautiful, new, spacious facility.

Qualifications:

· Ability to thrive in a team environment

· Superb communication skills (phone, texting, email, and in-person)

· Experience with ezyVet a plus

· Work directly with owners from check-in to check-out

· Well-developed animal handling and restraint skills

· Provide high-quality nursing care to pre and post-op patients

· IV catheter placement, blood collection, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis

· Proper sample handling and use of in-house laboratory testing equipment.

· Proficient in medical math

· Administration of medications PO, SQ, IM, IV

· Competent in anesthesia [setup, induction (if RVT), maintenance, monitoring and recovery]

· Dental prophylaxis, probing, and charting (dental digital radiographs a plus)

· Contribute to keeping the practice clean with the rest of the team
