Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager 3 for the Palmdale, CA site. \n\nThe Mission Assurance Manager 3 will be responsible for providing daily supervision and direction to the Functional Homeroom Inspection team in Palmdale. This position will support all Palmdale program quality inspectors and staff in addition to being responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to team members utilizing management guidelines and general policies that fully engage our Quality Management System, which will include the following responsibilities:\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Responsible for the project performance planning, risk management, technical quality, cost, schedule and factory accountability. \n * Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. \n * Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. \n * Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. \n * Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. \n * Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. \n * Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is aligned with requirements. \n * Act with agility to business needs and interact in collaborative way to empower diverse, cross functional teams, including both internal and external members to achieve positive business results, including operating decisions, scheduling requirements and contractual clarification. \n * May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. \n * May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelors degree and at least 9 years of related experience in Aircraft, Aerospace, or Manufacturing industries in a Quality environment or a Masters degree and 7 years of related experience in Aircraft, Aerospace, or Manufacturing industries in a Quality environment\n * Must have at least 7 years of prior management/leadership experience.\n * Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required) with the ability to obtain PAR (Special Program Access)\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Current Program Access\n * Quality/Mission Assurance and/or process knowledge and understanding\n * Strong verbal and written communication skills.\n * Prior work experience in a fast-paced, variable environment.\n * Quality/Mission Assurance and/or Process experience\n * Solid working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (ability to create and edit deliverables)\n * Aerospace manufacturing experience\n * Strong orientation to change in a dynamic environment\n * Sophisticated level of understanding risk/reward implications for program or area of influence of complex quality policies, procedures, governmental regulations and work flow\n * Ability to analyze alternative courses of action and make decisions\n\n\n\nOur Leaders at Northrop Grumman live our values daily and encourage our teams to do the same. Finally, we pioneer: setting a vision that shapes the future and inspires others.\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $175,400.00 - $263,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
