Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Mission Critical Team Lead - B Crew. Schedule for the role will be Monday-Friday and hours are 3pm - 1am.\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Team Leader, Mission Critical will fulfill responsibilities as a production leader. This role will provide manufacturing expertise, support, and direction in the assembly of all areas of the Mission Critical Segment Team with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton\u2019s quality standards. Incumbent will allow for timely execution of required tasks including but not limited to assembly, allocation of materials, inspection, testing, wiring, and shipping. \n\n \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n\n\u2022 Promote a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by proactively addressing and resolving concerns and escalating issues to your supervisor as appropriate. \n\u2022 Work directly with the manufacturing team to ensure that customer orders are executed in a timely and efficient manner and that the most urgent orders are fulfilled first. \n\u2022 Review orders and associated documentation (drawings, travel documents, bills of material) as needed to ensure the team has the appropriate information to complete the job and to assist with troubleshooting problems with the order documentation. \n\u2022 Communicate professionally to provide updates on the status of specific orders, resolve issues with production and promote teamwork across departments. \n\u2022 Support training and development of employees as the technical subject matter expert; support department supervisor to ensure a flexible workforce through cross training in critical positions. \n\u2022 Delegate tasks and align resources as appropriate to meet production goals including working in a production associate capacity due to absenteeism/leaves of absence. \n\u2022 Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive assigned projects to completion. \n\u2022 Attend tier meetings to discuss the progress of jobs, detect potential bottlenecks/roadblocks, and proactively work with the team to resolve issues. \n\u2022 Request required materials/sub-assemblies to ensure complete and timely production. \n\u2022 Work on projects and special assignments as required and assist/work in the area as needed.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\n\n * High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. \n * 2 years of manufacturing experience. \n * 3 months of leadership experience managing people or project teams.\n * Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. \n * Must live within 50 miles of Sumter SC to be considered. No relocation benefits offered. \n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\n\n\n\n \nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n\n * Associate degree from an accredited institution.\n * 1 year of leadership experience managing people or project teams.\n * Experience with Eaton systems including order entry (Vista), material management (DMM), MRP/ERP (AS400) \n * 1 year experience in switchboard assembly.\n * 3 years of wiring experience\n\n\n\n## Position Criteria:\n\n\u2022 Self-motivated / directed individual with well demonstrated written and verbal skills, along with great organizational and collaborative skills that positively promote a team environment. \n\u2022 Attention to detail and thorough analytical skills. \n\u2022 Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. \n\u2022 Demonstrated proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office \n\u2022 Working knowledge of Lean concepts \n\u2022 Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup. Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting needs and expectations of internal and external customers. \n\u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.\n\n \nADDITIONAL INFORMATION:\n\nExpected to work with some degree of independence and make decisions that affect the workgroup. Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting needs and expectations of internal and external customers.\n\n \nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: \n\nWhile performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, pull, and grip. The employee is frequently required to lift/carry up to 35 pounds and to push/pull up to or greater than 35 pounds with or without accommodation. The vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination.
