Billing Specialist – AKA: Medicaid Magician, Spreadsheet Whisperer, and All-Around AR Rockstar

Location: O’Fallon, IL (aka Billing HQ)

Status: Full-time (with full-on spreadsheet superpowers)

We’re on the hunt for a Long Term Care Billing Specialist who isn’t afraid of an aging report and actually likes solving billing mysteries. What You’ll Be Rocking Every Day

(Other than business casual and your coffee-fueled smile)

• Missouri Medicaid, Private Pay, and Hospice billing like a seasoned pro.
• Tackling unpaid claims like a detective—what happened, where did it go wrong, and how do we fix it?
• Submitting corrected claims, appeals, and reconsiderations like the organized superhero you are.
• Partnering with our amazing Missouri facilities to ensure billing is accurate and timely.
• Following up on Medicaid applications like a polite-but-persistent bill collector.
• Keeping leadership in the loop when payments are off or denials pop up (because surprises are only good at birthday parties).
• Reviewing aging reports and strategizing how to get us all paid—fast.
• Chatting with residents and families about billing (we promise, they’re lovely) and making sense of out-of-pocket costs.
• Training Business Office Managers at the facilities—you’re basically a billing coach.
• Coordinating with collections when necessary (but we don’t bite).
• Chasing down paperwork (because someone’s got to do it, and you’re the best at it).

Requirements

You’ll Fit Right In If You…

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent (bonus points if you know your way around Medicaid like it’s your neighborhood).
• Have experience with Missouri Medicaid and Skilled Nursing billing—this is not your first rodeo.
• Know your way around Excel and Microsoft Office (like, really know).
• Can juggle priorities, answer the phone with a smile, and still catch that error in column G.
• Love a good checklist and take follow-through very seriously.
• Are a team player who isn’t afraid to say, “Hey, I think we can do this better.”
• Bring customer service vibes, even on a Monday morning.
