Job Summary:
The Mitigation Technician supports the Lead Technician and Mitigation Manager in executing water, fire, and mold mitigation projects. This role focuses on hands-on restoration work, equipment setup, controlled demolition, and documenting job progress while maintaining high-quality standards and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to follow instructions closely while working efficiently on-site. This role provides valuable experience in the restoration industry and offers opportunities for skill development and career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in water, fire, and mold mitigation projects under the direction of the Lead Technician or Mitigation Manager
• Perform controlled demolition, moisture readings, and job mapping
• Set up, operate, and maintain restoration equipment, including dehumidifiers, air movers, and moisture meters.
• Document all job activities, including photos, equipment readings, and work performed, in company systems (e.g., DASH, CompanyCam).
• Help ensure the job site remains clean, safe, and organized.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Communicate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and completion of tasks.
• Assist in preparing materials and supplies for jobs, including moving items and protecting unaffected areas.
• Support quality control by checking work against project plans and specifications.
• Respond to customer inquiries on-site professionally, assisting with education on the mitigation process when appropriate.
• Report any issues or equipment problems to the Lead Technician or Mitigation Manager promptly.

 Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Prior experience in water, fire, or mold mitigation preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently when necessary.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting, moving, and bending.
• Basic understanding of construction, restoration, or home repair is a plus.
• Ability to use moisture meters, cameras, and other mitigation tools accurately.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism on-site.
• Reliable, punctual, and proactive with time management.
• Comfortable working in varied conditions, including wet, dusty, or fire-damaged environments.
