Mobile Refrigeration Service Technician

We are hiring a Refrigeration Technician. This role performs repairs and diagnostics on-site and off-sites (50%/50%) on starting and charging systems, cooling and re-charge, and electrical including common fault codes. Repairs include: performing leak detection procedures, compressor replacements, soldering refrigerant lines, evaporator/condenser replacements and front & rear main engine seal replacements. We require 3 plus years’ experience working on Reefer and A/C units. Main duties will be troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing components on refrigeration units. If you have experience or completed training on Cold Plate units is a plus.

• Diagnose, repair, install and perform maintenance procedures with efficiency and high-quality standards
  


• Maintain current knowledge of products, including any developments and services
  


• Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures
  


• Comply with all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping
  


• Properly complete required paperwork
  


• Maintain good attendance

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 3-year mechanical, transport refrigeration, and/or electrical systems repair and diagnostic experience.
  


• Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL A Preferred)
  


• Must have an acceptable driving record if driving under the company’s insurance policy
  


• Must be willing to take a drug test when required.
  


• Must have ability to work overtime and on-call as position may require
  


• Must be willing to travel up to 400 miles a day; occasionally monthly travel to Portland.
  


• Must have basic computer skills and knowledge
  


• Must have a complete set of quality hand tools
  


• Must be able to stand, kneel, and crouch for long periods, climb ladders and lift in excess of 50 pounds either with or without reasonable accommodation
  

Required Education

• Graduation from general or technical high school, and/or Associate or Technical degreePreferred.
  


• Possession of Universal EPA Refrigeration Certificate License.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping or crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing,grasping, talking and hearing.
  


• Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less; bring objects into sharp focus and see up and down or to the right or left while fixed on a point.
  


• Medium work – exert up to 10 pounds of force continuously and/or over 60 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.
  


• Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
  


• Light Work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

• Must be able to withstand extreme temperatures as well as potentially hazardous environments.
