🩺 Position: Mobile PICC Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Eastern Massachusetts (Travel Required)
Schedule: Per Diem / On-Call (Minimum 3–5 Days Per Week, Day & Evening Shifts, Some Weekends)
About the Role
We’re seeking experienced, confident, and flexible IV/PICC Nurses to join our Mobile Vascular Access Team across Eastern Massachusetts. This field-based role involves traveling to skilled nursing facilities and other clinical sites to assess patients and perform PICC, midline, and peripheral catheter insertions.
This is an ideal opportunity for nurses skilled in vascular access, who enjoy working independently, and want the flexibility of a per diem schedule with premium pay.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to various clinical sites in Eastern Massachusetts (SNFs, hospitals, long-term care centers)
- Perform peripheral IVs, midline, and ultrasound-guided PICC insertions
- Assess patient needs and determine the most appropriate vascular access device
- Provide recommendations and support to facility staff
- Coordinate with triage nurses, facility leadership, and care teams
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control
- Accurately document procedures per clinical and legal guidelines
Qualifications
Current RN license in Massachusetts
Minimum 1 year of recent experience placing PICC, midline, and peripheral catheters
Ultrasound-guided insertion proficiency required
- Strong assessment and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently and travel between sites
- Reliable transportation required
Schedule & Pay
Flexible on-call schedule (3–5 days/week minimum)
Day and evening shifts available, including some weekend availability
Daily on-call stipend + premium pay per insertion
Annualized pay estimated at $75,000+ (based on insertion volume)
