We are searching for a Mobilization Team Leader who will own all aspects of equipment mobilization—planning, prepping, organizing, assembling, and shipping specialized machining equipment to job sites around the world. You’ll be the linchpin connecting engineering, scheduling, logistics, and shop teams to ensure every mobilization is on time, on budget, and executed flawlessly.

What You’ll Do (Your Mission)

As the Mobilization Team Leader, you will:

Lead Daily Operations

• Partner with the Mobilization Manager to prioritize and assign work.
• Ensure all mobilizations meet deadlines, quality standards, and cost targets.
• Review job schedules, part availability, and component readiness.
• Keep job data accurate and up to date through the TEAM app.
• Coordinate communication across engineering, logistics, scheduling, and shop teams.

Ensure Mobilizations Are Field-Ready

• Verify all equipment, sub-assemblies, and machine tools match engineered drawings.
• Resolve parts shortages and adjust schedules proactively.
• Confirm checklists, layout drawings, and JPCP binders are properly updated.
• Support emergent, fast-turn mobilization needs as required.

Bring Technical Expertise When It Counts

• Submit RFQs to Purchasing when needed.
• Serve as a go-to technical resource to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Perform in-shop and on-site machining as needed.

Lead People and Build a Strong Team

• Train, mentor, and guide employees.
• Assign and direct daily work.
• Conduct performance reviews and support growth opportunities.
• Address concerns, solve problems, and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.

What You Bring

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

Education

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Journeyman Machinist, Tool & Die, or a 2-year technical degree (preferred)

Experience & Skills

• 5–10+ years in field machining
• Expert-level precision machining (0.0005” tolerances)
• Strong mechanical aptitude with tooling, fixturing, hydraulics, motors, gearboxes
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix environments
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Background in Lean Manufacturing and process improvement
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills
• Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
• Strong servant-leadership mindset with the ability to take projects from start to finish

Language & Math Skills

• Ability to interpret technical documents, schedules, and manuals
• Ability to write clear reports and communicate with internal/external partners
• Strong math skills, including geometry, trigonometry, and statistical concepts

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing
• Regular bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work around machinery, cranes, forklifts, and moderate noise
• Primarily indoor shop & office environment with occasional outdoor conditions

Certifications & Requirements

• OSHA 30 training provided
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)
• Completion of IPM Overhead Crane & Forklift Training (required)
• Valid forklift license
• Ability to travel up to 20%
