HealthySkin Dermatology is hiring! Full-time opportunity for an experienced Mohs Histotechnician to work for a growing dermatology practice! Under the supervision of the Mohs micrographic surgeon, the Mohs Histotechnician will:

• Perform Mohs frozen sectioning. Duties include, but are not limited to, specimen and slide preparation, H & E staining, cover slipping, and maintaining of the Mohs logs.
• Clean and maintain the Mohs laboratory and equipment according to CLIA and OSHA standards, including preventative maintenance, sterilization, and maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment.
• Label, file, and store Mohs slides.
• Sterilize laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Work a standard weekly schedule of 5/8's - five (5) days a week, eight (8) hours a day, Monday - Friday.

Requirements

• High school or college graduate with appropriate laboratory or on-the-job training and credentials; OR
• Graduated from a medical vocational program with certification in Mohs Technician Training.
• Two (2) years Mohs technician experience in a MOHS surgery practice required.
• Strong finger dexterity.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to establish credibility with physicians, staff, and coworkers, and promote teamwork.
• Mature and able to demonstrate good judgement.
• Presents a professional image.
• Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Comfortable with electronic practice management and electronic health records systems.
• Able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time with majority of the workday spent on feet.

Lifting Requirements:

Medium - generally not lifting more than 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing 25 pounds.

 Pay commensurate with experience.
