About the job…

The Mold Remediation Technician will work other technicians and will report directly to the owner (or the supervisor on site).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Loads/unloads supplies/equipment into and from vehicles, cleans and returns materials and equipment the trucks or vans or to proper storage areas.

Will meet at job site or drive and operate a company van or truck equipped with cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies to the work site depending on location of the job.

Assists in placing air scrubber, dehumidifiers or air movers in proper room locations to remove moisture from carpet, upholstery, and air.

Set up containment when necessary to prevent cross containment of other unaffected areas of the home or business.

Performs basic demo tasks—cutting drywall, removing baseboards, and various flooring material, sprays fungicide and other materials.

Follow IICRC protocols.

Provides exceptional customer service, treats property and contents with respect and care and brings any issues or customer concerns to the job leader.

Follows proper safety practices, wears personal protective equipment as appropriate (gloves, respirators, Tyvek Suit) while working.

Maintains clean and organized vehicle, equipment, and job site

Must be willing to work in attics, crawl spaces and other areas of the homes or businesses.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

High school education, or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license with clean MVR and access to dependable transportation.

Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs., carry equipment up/downstairs.

Strong interpersonal, verbal skills.

Professional manner and team oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience and/or certifications in the disaster restoration industry a plus but not required.
