Mold Setter – 1st Shift (7:00 a.m. Start) Location: Clinton Township, MI
Job Summary We are seeking knowledgeable, self-directed, and hardworking individuals for a 1st shift Mold Setter position. The Mold Setter will be responsible for performing mold changes, machine troubleshooting, and repair, while supporting a safe and efficient production environment.
Responsibilities
Perform mold changes according to schedule and prepare/setup machines for production.
Ensure the work area is safe and communicate effectively with all impacted employees during mold changes.
Follow standardized work procedures for mold changes and suggest improvements for efficiency.
Assist maintenance technicians/electricians with machine maintenance, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
Support mold makers with injection mold tool troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
Work closely with the production team to prioritize Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
Monitor process conditions to ensure they remain in control.
Participate in trials for new programs and technology.
Collaborate with other departments to identify and analyze non-conformances or quality issues, and assist in developing and verifying corrective actions.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications
High school diploma required; post-secondary or trade schooling is an asset.
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various hand tools.
Crane training/experience is an asset.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mechanically related role.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
