 Job Summary

The International Youth Foundation (IYF), a global nonprofit organization that works to improve the lives and conditions of young people worldwide, is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator to support the monitoring of programs in Mexico that will equip young people with skills to secure and maintain employment. This role is ideal for a self-directed professional who combines strong technical data skills with a collaborative mindset and a passion for youth development. The M&E Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring data-driven decision-making, fostering a culture of learning, and promoting continuous improvement across programs. This full-time position will be based in Mexico.   · Support the Country Director in Mexico and the Sr. MERL Manager in implementing monitoring and evaluation systems aligned with IYF standards and donor requirements.

Responsibilities

· Support the Country Director in Mexico and the Sr. MERL Manager in implementing monitoring and evaluation systems aligned with IYF standards and donor requirements.

· Collaborate in data collection activities, ensuring compliance with quality and ethical criteria 

· Provide support in managing program data through IYF’s Systematic Tracking and Organizational Records Management System (STORM) – a management information system built on the Salesforce.com platform— including uploading information, data validation, and quality assurance.

· Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights and support adaptive programming. 

· Coordinate learning sessions and contribute to the development of knowledge products. 

· Collaborate in training activities for partners or internal teams, under the guidance of the Sr. MERL Manager.

· Coordinate with external consultants and stakeholders to align evaluation frameworks and deliverables. 

· Support the Sr. MERL Manager in preparing data for reports and presentations (donor, internal, partner, etc.), as needed. 

· Grasp the full scope of multi-component programs and align M&E activities with strategic objectives and cross-cutting themes.

· Proactively identify gaps, seek clarification, and propose solutions that enhance data quality, learning, and continuous improvement.

· Actively participate in team meetings, contributing ideas to ensure a shared understanding of data logic, indicators, and improve processes and tools.

· Perform other duties, as assigned.


Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent (e.g., economics, international development, statistics, data science, administration).

· Minimum of 1 year of experience in professional internships, volunteer work, or employment in areas related to monitoring, evaluation, data analysis or social programs.

· Excellent knowledge of and experience with Excel is required (pivot tables, formulas, graphics, etc.).

· Strong computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office 365. Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, STATA) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.

· Strong skills in data management and analysis, data quality assessments and data audits.

· Experience conducting assessments and using qualitative and quantitative tools (e.g., focus group discussions, surveys, interviews) is preferred. 

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information to inform planning and strategy.

· Oral and written fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

· Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, along with the analytical ability to identify priorities and manage details professionally. 

· Ability to identify and establish priorities, work independently and exercise sound judgment related to providing support and assistance.

· Detail-oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills. Proactivity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

· Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

· Commitment to working with young people and institutional values.


Salary Description

$258,750 - $338,125 MXN per year
