Medical Delivery Services (MDS) is a nationwide leader in courier services, specializing in the secure and timely transport of nuclear medicine. Our mission is to enhance patient care through reliable, on-time deliveries—right patient, right place, right time.

We are currently seeking two (2) highly motivated individuals to join our growing team as Morning Lead Dispatchers at our Tampa, FL office. In this role, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and planning logistics operations for a fleet of 700–900 owner-operators functioning in a 24/7 environment. The Dispatch Lead role involves managing dispatch activities in a timely and cost-effective manner, ensuring seamless communication with drivers, and maintaining accurate records via dispatch systems and communication tools. As the Dispatch Lead, you serve as a key point of contact, relaying concerns and operational issues to Shift Supervisor or the Dispatch Manager as needed.

$50,000.00

Schedules:
Monday - Friday, 4:30am – 1:30pm 

Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 3:00pm

  Job Responsibilities: 

• Oversee dispatch operations with a focus on efficiency, cost control, and timely service delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of routes, service areas, and client locations to ensure accuracy in dispatching.
• Respond promptly to operational issues, service requests, or inquiries by relaying information or providing appropriate solutions.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with drivers, team members, and leadership.
• Apply critical thinking to resolve logistical and operational challenges.
• Utilize tracking and dispatching platforms, such as E-Courier, to manage workflows and monitor driver activity.
• Ensure consistent attendance, reliability, and adherence to assigned schedules.
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer use, including data entry, document management, and organizational tools.
• Analyze data and situations to develop effective solutions to problems.
• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously, demonstrating the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required. 
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience. 
• Strong knowledge of management methods and techniques. 
• Ability to think strategically and take initiative in leadership. 
• Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
