Mortgage Lender

Provides quality service to customers in specified lending areas (mortgage, consumer, and/or small commercial), with emphasis dependent upon position. Must fully understand the lending process and applicable rules and regulations, and must have strong decision-making abilities. Also responsible for some administrative functions including keeping the branch organized and supplied. Communicating conditions and concerns about the functioning of facility. 

Position is weighted to mortgage area, but not limited to:

· Meet with customers to discuss the best financing for their needs.

· Responsible for soliciting, originating, analyzing, underwriting and coordinating the closing of consumer, residential, and business/commercial loans as defined by position in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures. Must be well versed in policies, procedures and processes for applications, credit reports, title work, flood reports, etc.

· Implement programs. Assist in attaining Bank goals through active participation in officer call programs.

· Cross sell Bank products and generate business to further develop account relationships.

· Perform various operational functions, such as branch management, compliance, security, etc. Ensure that all Bank policies and procedures are followed by employees.

· Serve on internal committees as assigned and external committees as determined.

· Assist Loan Recovery staff with collection activities as necessary.

· Comply with all requirements, policies and procedures of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and attend all mandatory BSA training as needed for this position. Additionally required to complete all required compliance and regulatory training, not limited to BSA.  

Assume and accomplish other duties as assigned 

Position requires strong decision-making and interpersonal skills, which will be used while working with customers, the community and employees. Must possess full knowledge of Bank lending procedures and policies, products and services, as well as knowledge of computers/programs.

· Professionalism must be exhibited and confidentiality respected at all times.

· Keeping branch organized and supplied. Communicating conditions and concerns about functioning of facility.

· Position requires attendance at meetings. 

· Some travel is expected for this position. However, travel is primarily local and during the business day. 

· Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured required if driving.

· Employees are responsible for the upkeep/organization of their work area and in cooperation with others in shared areas.

· Assume and accomplish various duties as assigned or self-directed.
