Job Description - Mortgage Loan Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist Mortgage Lender with mortgage applications, including getting the file ready for processing/initial review, LOS entry, uploading & gathering of initial borrower documents, ordering of Appraisal & other 3rd party vendor requests, organizing documents/electronic files, uploading and scanning into Processing files, assist in process of withdrawals and denials, & other duties as needed by the Mortgage Loan Officer & communicating with Customer. Process HELOC loan applications for the MLO and HELOC group, and others as needed. 

DUTIES: 

1. Input Mortgage, Construction, Lot, and HELOC applications into our LOS system

2. Work closely with Lender and Processing on file documentation

3. Assist Mortgage Lender with data entry, scanning, & imaging of documentation

4. Ability to multi-task with multiple loan officer workloads

5. Gather customer documentation as needed from Processing/Underwriting

6. Make sure Freddie Pipeline is updated & accurate 

7. Process Denied and Withdrawn loans

8. Assist in processing HELOC & Mortgage Loan applications (both in person and through online applications)

9. Order appraisals, credit reports, background checks, reference checks and other information needed on loan applicants

10. Work directly with HELOC customers or with other Mortgage customers at the direction of an LO to assist in the mortgage process

11. Coordinate, assist, attend and close of loans

12. Some travel to fill in for MLO that are out of office 

13. Communicate and Coordinate directly with customer

14. Other duties as needed to assist with the Mortgage Loan Officer and mortgage department

Requirements

  

RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Responsible to the VP, Director of Mortgage Operations/LOS Administrator for the fulfillment of duties assigned

2. High level of customer service skills

3. Computer skills including MS Office programs

4. Multi-tasking, organization, attention to detail & accuracy, and ability to handle multiple assignments, creating efficiencies to help with fast paced environment 

5. Should be analytically minded and possess good judgment

6. General banking knowledge or mortgage department experience a plus, but not a requirement

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Normal office environment

2. Extended viewing of computer screens

3. Moderate lifting up to 25 pounds

4. Repetitive hand and arm movement
