Position Summary

We're looking for someone who can operate at the loan officer level with deep program knowledge, sharp structuring instincts, and the ability to take a file from lead to close. We are looking for someone whose passion lives in the craft of originating, but not the chase of obtaining business.

You'll work directly alongside a top producing Loan Originator, functioning as a true Loan partner. You'll think through complex scenarios, structure deals, price loans, prepare borrowers, and keep the pipeline moving with precision and care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Program Expertise: Stay current across loan programs and guidelines to identify the best path for every borrower, including non-traditional or complex situations.


• Loan Structuring & Pricing: Analyze borrower profiles and build the strongest loan scenario upfront with an understanding on pricing a loan. - conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, down payment assistance, specialty and beyond.


• File Management: Own the pipeline from application through contract managing pre-approvals, active contracts, must be able to handle a high amount of loan volume within an efficient ecosystem, coordinating with our internal operations team (processing), underwriters, realtors, closing attorneys and all third party support.


• Borrower Communication: Prepare, educate, and guide buyers through our nurture process with clarity and confidence.


• Pre-Approval Support: Strong with income, assets, credit, and employment to accurately qualify borrowers before submission.


• Team Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with Loan Originator as a true co-pilot: anticipating needs, filling gaps, and keeping operations running smoothly. The Loan Originator brings in the production. This role requires support to keep production at a high level.


• Out-of-the-Box Problem Solving: When a loan doesn't fit the mold, you find a way. You see solutions others miss.


• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Active NMLS license (or ability to obtain promptly if coming from another mortgage background)


• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on mortgage experience: processing, origination, or operations




• Multilingual candidates in any of the following languages may be eligible for less years of experience: Spanish, French, Haitian Creole)




• Demonstrated knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, conventional, and specialty programs


• Experience with loan pricing and scenario building


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Local to the Atlanta, South Atlanta or Atlanta Metro areas are a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and electronic mail software.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with builders, borrowers, and cross functional teams.


• High level of professional integrity and customer service skills.


• Maintains a positive, helpful, constructive attitude and work relationship with co-workers and supervisors.


• Strong time management and organizational skills in a dynamic, constantly changing environment.


• High attention to detail with strong focus on quality and compliance.


• Encompass experience preferred.
