We are seeking a Mortgage Post Closer to join a financially robust organization that offers competitive pay, growth opportunities, and benefits! The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who’s reliable, efficient, has a sense of responsibility & the willingness to learn. The post closer will consistently contribute and support the closing team to disburse closing proceeds in accordance with parties’ instructions and applicable law.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with documents: contracts, settlement statements, closing disclosures, mortgages, deeds, and title policies.
  • Work to obtain signature(s) on missing, incorrect, or additional documents.
  • Submit the complete closing package to the investors for purchase review.
  • Complete MERS registrations and transfer of servicing and beneficiary rights.
  • Remedy post-closing funding issues through contact with closing agents and other internal and external parties.
  • Monitor and respond to questions/information in the post-closing inbox.
  • Balance settlement statements to setup pending wires.
  • Review & issue wires for funding.
  • Track and deliver original notes to investor’s custodian.
  • Review and approve purchase advices.
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders including but not limited to internal operations teams, client, outside counsel, and title agent partners.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • National correspondent purchase and refinance experience preferable.
  • Title insurance experience preferable.
  • Highly desired: Encompass experience, 2+ years’ experience in posting-closing mortgage loans.
