We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Mortgage Processor to join our on-site team! This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of wholesale mortgage processing experience who is ready to take ownership of their pipeline and work closely with a team of loan officers and wholesale lenders.
As a Mortgage Processor, you will manage loan files from initial submission through final approval, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with lender guidelines. You’ll serve as a key point of contact between borrowers, lenders, and vendors, helping move loans efficiently through the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process a pipeline of wholesale mortgage loans from initial submission to CTC
- Gather and review all required documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Communicate with borrowers to request outstanding conditions and provide timely updates
- Coordinate with third-party vendors including title companies, insurance agents, and appraisal companies
- Submit and manage conditions through wholesale lender portals
- Ensure all loans comply with investor and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain detailed file notes and documentation in the loan origination system
- Collaborate daily with loan officers, underwriters, and processors to ensure quick turn times and smooth closings
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of mortgage processing experience (wholesale experience required)
- Strong understanding of wholesale loan guidelines and documentation requirements
- Familiarity with major wholesale lenders such as:
- United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM)
- Equity Prime Mortgage
- Plaza Home Mortgage
- And other wholesale lenders
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in mortgage LOS systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Arive loan origination software
- Knowledge of different lender portals and submission processes
