Summary


The Mortgage Regional Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the sales and operational activities within a designated market. This position is responsible for driving growth, ensuring branch performance, and aligning business strategies with the company's goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the mortgage industry, with a focus on building relationships and maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance market presence and drive growth. Collaborate with executive management to align regional objectives with the overall business strategy.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance metrics. Communicate goals and expectations clearly to branch management and staff, ensuring all teams understand their contributions to overall success.
  • Generate and execute plans aimed at maximizing profitability within the region. Analyze market trends and financial reports to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards. Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain compliance and mitigate risks associated with mortgage lending.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, real estate professionals, and community stakeholders. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.
  • Conduct regular market analyses to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for expansion. Prepare and present reports to executive management on regional performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with marketing, underwriting, and operations teams to integrate efforts and streamline processes, ensuring a cohesive approach to achieving regional goals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the mortgage division.

Requirements

Skills/Experience/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; an MBA is preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage banking, with at least 3 years in a management role. 
  • Thorough understanding of business/financial concepts, terminology, & practices necessary.
  • Professional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills appropriate to one to one and mass audiences.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Software products – Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and problem solve.
  • Excellent customer service, written and oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Must be outgoing, professional, & exercise sound judgment.
  • This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Employment is contingent upon meeting initial and ongoing registration requirements, including acceptable background investigation results.

Essential Mental & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions. 
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
