FocusOne, a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) located in Northwest Houston, partners with credit unions to provide exceptional mortgage and auto lending services. FocusOne Mortgage Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Loan Administrative Specialist to support our mortgage servicing operations.
The position is responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of borrowers’ escrow accounts. The specialist will work closely with vendor partners to facilitate the oversight and disbursement of funds for payment of property taxes and hazard, flood, and mortgage insurance, when applicable. The specialist will also regularly collaborate with borrowers and credit union partners to oversee the administration of insurance loss draft claims, ensuring the completion of repairs and the timely disbursement of funds within agency or investor guidelines. Additionally, the Specialist will assume a lead role in the completion and issuance of annual escrow analysis statements, helping ensure completion within regulatory guidelines.
Specialists are responsible for ensuring all account activities are well documented in system notes and accurately reflect completed processes and borrower conversations. The specialist will manage sensitive customer information and is expected to maintain the highest degree of borrower confidentiality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and PERCENT OF TIME SPENT:
Successfully partner with vendors to ensure the timely disbursement of borrower tax and insurance payments.
Assist in quickly and thoroughly resolving borrower questions or issues, helping to consistently provide a high-touch borrower experience.
Clearly and concisely document loan-level status updates in the system of records for others to be able to follow.
Works closely with borrowers and credit union partners to ensure the proper administration of hazard loss draft claims. Helping ensure both the timely issuance of funds and the documented completion of repairs
Ensure the completion and issuance of annual escrow analysis statements.
Assist the Member Services in resolving borrower questions or issues quickly and thoroughly.
Clearly and concisely document loan-level status updates in the system of records for others to be able to follow.
Collaborate closely with partner Credit Unions to provide status updates and reporting.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with borrowers and clients
Empathy and understanding to manage sensitive financial situations with care.
Prior FICS or MSP experience a plus
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Team collaboration skills to work effectively with other departments and clients.
EXPERIENCE:
2 – 5 years mortgage servicing experience
Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and prior experience.
