Mortgage Servicing Specialist

This position will be responsible for ensuring that all mortgage loan payments are recorded and disbursed in a timely manner. They will respond to borrower payment and servicing related questions.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Respond to inbound borrower and third-party calls regarding mortgage loan servicing inquiries.
• Follow up with borrowers if payment is not received.
• Internal posting of borrower payments and escrow account transactions.
• Execute servicing functions including tax and insurance maintenance, payoff requests, lien releases, payment processing, account updates, and issue resolution.
• Communicate with borrowers regarding changes to loan servicer.
• Remit mortgage insurance premiums to appropriate government or private entities.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate MS Office suite skills.
• Intermediate math/accounting skills, analytical and data entry skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Spanish Speaking- Preferred.
• Encompass experience- Preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage servicing, sub-servicing, escrow processing, taxes, and insurance- Preferred.
