As a Mow Technician, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality lawn care services using zero turn mower, walker mower, walk-behind and push mowers, line trimmers, and other handheld equipment. You’ll uphold J and R’s standards for clean finishes, safe practices, and respectful customer interaction while working on both residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate push and walk-behind mowers, zero turn mowers, Walker mower, string trimmers, and blowers
• Maintain clean, crisp edges and professional finishes on all properties
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections and report issues
• Follow daily job routes and complete assigned properties efficiently
• Maintain safe work practices on lawns, around sidewalks, streets, and obstacles
• Respect customer property and communicate professionally if approached
• Assist crew members with loading/unloading and site cleanup as needed
  

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be 18 years or older
• Prior mowing experience preferred but not required (we’ll train the right person)
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs, walking for extended periods, and handling equipment in varying weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to our facility or designated job sites
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills
• A positive attitude, team-first mindset, and strong attention to detail
• Prior landscaping, groundskeeping, or related experience preferred (but not required—we train the right candidates!)
