Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner including MRI safe practices. Supervises FTEs: No Number of FTEs Supervised: N/A Exercises full management authority including performance reviews, discipline, termination and personnel hiring No Annual Revenue in Dollars: N/A Annual Expense in Dollars: N/A Population Served Age of Population Served - Choose all that apply ☐ Infant (birth - less than 1 year) ☐ Pediatric/Adolescent (1 - less than 18 years) ☐ Adult (18 - 64 years) ☐ Geriatric (65 years & older) ☒ All Age Groups ▪Maintains compliance with organization's policies, as well as established practices, protocols, and procedures of the position, department, and applicable professional standards. ▪Complies with organizational and regulatory policies for handling confidential patient information. ▪Demonstrates excellent customer service through his/her attitude and actions, consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization. ▪Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and TJC standards and/or standards from other accrediting bodies. 1.Performs MRI procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist on patients of all ages according to established protocols and evaluates MRI studies for technical image quality. 2.Obtains clinical history and data for correlation with the MRI procedure. 3.Implements screening and safety measures in accordance with prescribed MRI safety standards. Performs daily and weekly QC as required. 4.Prepares and administers contrast media to the patient according to policy. Practices sterile techniques. 5.Assists Radiologist in special procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations. 6.Coordinates patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction 7.Assesses learning needs and educates patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs.
