Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner including MRI safe practices. Performs daily and weekly QC as required. 4.Prepares and administers contrast media to the patient according to policy. Practices sterile techniques. 5.Assists Radiologist in special procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations. 6.Coordinates patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction 7.Assesses learning needs and educates patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs.
