MRI Technologist

Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: New York City
Work Schedule: Days (may include weekends or evenings)
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI diagnostic scans based on clinical requisitions

• Administer contrast media and medications in accordance with protocols and certification

• Set up and operate monitoring and stimulus delivery equipment as needed

• Provide clear communication and compassionate care to patients before and during procedures

• Verify patient identification and requisition accuracy prior to imaging

• Adjust scan parameters to ensure high-quality, accurate imaging

• Process and archive diagnostic images per department standards

• Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe environment at all times

• Document patient history and scan relevant medical documentation

• Support supply inventory management and assist with ordering when necessary

• Train and assist new team members with equipment and system use

• Perform preventative maintenance and coordinate service needs for imaging equipment

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred

• Additional experience in other imaging modalities is a plus

Certifications & Licensure

• Current New York State License in Radiographic Technology (R)

• ARRT (MR) Certification

• NYS Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification

• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Working Conditions

• Requires occasional lifting of patients and equipment

• May include weekend or evening shifts

• Fast-paced, patient-centered outpatient environment
