MRI Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
• Ensure proper patient screening, positioning, and safety (including MRI safety zones)
• Operate MRI equipment and monitor image quality
• Administer contrast agents as required, following safety guidelines
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in the EMR/LIS
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and a clean work environment
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and clinical staff
• Comply with HIPAA, infection control, and hospital policies

Requirements

• ARRT certification in MRI (MR)
• Active California CRT license
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience preferred (hospital or imaging center)
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and protocols
• Ability to work independently and provide excellent patient care
